All tickers
Every listing in the security master for the entitled markets, active or delisted, with its ticker, name, identifiers and security type at date. Filter by ticker prefix or name, type, asset class, exchange, country, CIK or FIGI. Holidays and trading hours are in /v1/calendar and /v1/market-status. Default order: ticker ascending, then listing. Results are limited to the entitled scope. Served from the OHLC security master, exchange calendars and reference tables. Access requires the operation capability on the API key.

Parameters
qstringoptional · query- Case-insensitive ticker prefix in any spelling (BRK.B, BRK/B, BACpL), or text whose every word occurs anywhere in the listing's name. A value that is empty or only whitespace returns 422.
typesstringoptional · query- Security type codes: those of /v1/ticker-types (such as CS, PFD or ETF), FUND for mutual funds, BOND for bonds, CRYPTO for crypto pairs, FOREX for currency pairs or INDEX for indices. A code that is not one of these returns 422.
asset_typesstringoptional · query- Asset classes, as in /v1/instruments.
exchangesstringoptional · query- Listing MICs. A malformed or repeated code returns 422 invalid-exchanges, a MIC the API does not serve 404 exchange-not-found, and one outside the key's markets 403 market-not-entitled.
countriesstringoptional · query- ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country codes.
activestringoptional · query- true lists listings trading at date; false lists listings that no longer trade, under the last ticker each traded as; all lists both. Earlier tickers of a listing are in /v1/instruments/{instrument_id}/symbols. The security master was built in September 2026 from the listings its sources still carried and records delistings from then on, so nearly every delisted listing it holds stopped trading in 2026, and most issuers delisted earlier, such as TWTR or SIVB, are not held.
Default:truefalsealltrue datestringoptional · query- Point in time: listing state and ticker at the end of this UTC date. Defaults to now. Tickers are effective-dated; names, types and identifiers are the latest recorded. A listing appears only where a ticker is recorded for it at date: ticker records begin in 2003 at the earliest and later for many listings, so an early date lists few of the listings whose prices reach back to it (history_from).
cikstringoptional · query- Issuer SEC CIK; leading zeroes are optional.
figistringoptional · query- Composite or share-class FIGI.
orderstringoptional · query- Direction on ticker; listings sharing a ticker follow in the same direction.
Default:ascdescasc limitintegeroptional · query- Maximum records per page.Default:
100 cursorstringoptional · query- Opaque cursor, expires after one hour; binds filters, order, resolved as_of, account/key and entitlement. Repeat the original query unchanged.
formatstringoptional · query- Response format. csv returns the data rows with a header row, for spreadsheet functions such as IMPORTDATA; nested fields become dotted columns and lists one JSON array cell, the next page cursor is returned in X-Next-Cursor and meta.errors in X-Meta-Errors. A result without rows is the header row alone, listing the documented fields of a row. Default json, or csv when format is omitted and the Accept header ranks text/csv above JSON; a format the Accept header does not admit returns 406 not-acceptable.

Response fields
Returns data as an array of records. All example values are illustrative.
symbolstring- Exchange-qualified MIC:TICKER at date.
tickerstring- Ticker at date. Share classes, preferred series and warrants use OHLC spellings, such as BRK-B, BAC-PL and ACHR-WS.
namestring · null- Listing name. Names are held from when OHLC first recorded them (September 2026 for most listings), not reconstructed for earlier dates, so a past date returns the earliest recorded name, usually the current one: XNYS:AA on 1990-01-01 is named Howmet Aerospace, the company that traded as AA then.
instrument_idstring- Opaque stable public identifier; never an internal database key.
company_idstring · null- Opaque stable public identifier; never an internal database key.
exchange_micstring- exchange mic
asset_typestring · null- Asset class, as in /v1/instruments.
equityetfmutual_fundcryptoforexindexbond typestring · null- Security type code, such as CS, PFD, ETF, ADRC, WARRANT, UNIT or RIGHT; /v1/ticker-types lists the stock codes, and crypto and currency pairs, indices, mutual funds and bonds are CRYPTO, FOREX, INDEX, FUND and BOND.
activeboolean- Whether the listing trades under this ticker at date.
currency_codestring · null- ISO 4217 currency. Crypto quote assets use instrument IDs, not invented ISO codes.
country_codestring · null- country code
cikstring · null- SEC Central Index Key of the issuer, zero-padded to ten digits. Null where none is linked: most OTC listings, international listings, crypto and currency pairs, indices, bonds, mutual funds, and some funds and foreign issuers.
composite_figistring · null- Composite FIGI of the listing. FIGIs and list dates come from US reference data that covers exchange-listed stocks and funds; they are null for OTC listings, international listings, crypto and currency pairs, indices, bonds and mutual funds.
share_class_figistring · null- Share-class FIGI, shared by listings of one share class.
isinstring · null- ISIN of the security.
list_datestring · null- Date the listing began trading, when known. Null for OTC listings, international listings, crypto and currency pairs, indices, bonds and mutual funds; it is never derived from where OHLC's own data starts, which history_from gives.
history_fromstring · null- First UTC date of the listing's history in OHLC on this exchange: where its daily bars begin when its history was loaded, or the date OHLC first listed it. OTC listings are held forward only, from the day each was added (2026-10-03 for most), with no earlier bars. For crypto and currency pairs, indices and bonds it is the venue's start (2010-07-01, 1970-01-01, 1900-01-01 and 2000-01-01), not the first bar of the pair, index or bond; /v1/datasets/eod/coverage gives each listing's history_from. Not the listing date.
delisted_datestring · null- Date an inactive listing stopped trading under this ticker (its last trading date when OHLC ended the listing from its daily bars); null while active.
last_updated_atstring · null- When OHLC last changed this listing's reference data.
logo_urlstring · null- Logo hosted by OHLC for the listing's company, or for a fund without its own, its sponsor's: SVG when a vector logo exists, otherwise PNG. The URL changes when the logo changes, so it can be cached indefinitely.
Response metadata
Responses include meta.timezone. Dataset responses include next_cursor; health and exports have their own metadata. Request tracing uses the X-Request-ID header.
When something goes wrong
An empty data: [] is a successful query with no matching records. Invalid symbols, permissions and malformed parameters produce an RFC 9457 problem with an actionable detail.
Plans
Requires reference.read. Access, recency and history depth come from the plan definitions the API enforces.

Free requests are limited to AAPL, NVDA, JNJ, PEP, MSFT, SPY, QQQ.
History is how far back a plan may request. How far records actually go for a symbol is history_from in dataset coverage. Nothing is real-time. Compare plans
