Commercial and Scale plans

Stock data you can put
in front of your customers.

Commercial and Scale are the OHLC plans for products you sell: display and redistribution rights, full history, every dataset and bulk delivery, at a published price you can buy online today. No sales call, no custom quote, no overage bill.

Display and redistribution

Show prices, fundamentals and research data to your own customers in an app, a website or a report. Free and Developer are personal use; Pro is internal use only.

A published price

Commercial is $899 a month and Scale $1,499, or ten monthly payments a year when billed annually. Checkout is self-serve, and there is no minimum term on monthly plans.

A bill that never changes

Every limit is a hard cap. When the day's credits are spent, requests return 429 until 00:00 UTC; nothing is ever charged beyond the plan price.

Commercial or Scale

Both plans carry the same rights and the same data. Scale is for products whose traffic outgrows Commercial's limits, or that want files delivered into their own bucket.

Plan limits as published on the pricing page, October 15, 2026. Limits apply per account across all of its API keys.

What the rights cover

Commercial and Scale let you display OHLC data to people outside your company and redistribute it as part of your own product, subject to the Terms of Service and any licensing conditions disclosed for a dataset. Typical uses:

  • A fintech or investing app that shows quotes, price charts, dividends and financial statements to its users.
  • A research or newsletter product that publishes tables, screens and charts built from OHLC data.
  • A SaaS tool or dashboard for clients, with company fundamentals, SEC filings, ownership and analyst data inside it.
  • An AI product whose assistant answers customers' questions with prices and fundamentals fetched from the API or the MCP server.

A subscription does not grant unrestricted resale or sublicensing: you can build OHLC data into what you sell, but not resell the raw data on its own. If a plan's rights do not fit what you are building, write to [email protected] before you launch.

Everything in Pro, and more

Commercial and Scale include every dataset OHLC serves: end-of-day and delayed intraday bars, quotes delayed 15 minutes, fundamentals and financial statements, dividends and splits, earnings, SEC filings, analyst ratings and estimates, ownership, insider and congressional trades, short interest, news, ETF and fund holdings, index levels and constituents, options and trades, crypto and currency pairs, U.S. corporate bonds, revenue segments, IPOs, sanctions, technical indicators, economic series and calendars, and the screener. On top of Pro they add:

  • Full history. Query each dataset back to its first record instead of a rolling 15-year window. Apple's daily bars start on 1980-12-12.
  • Mutual funds and bonds. About 25,000 U.S. mutual fund share classes, Canadian funds and about 8,000 U.S. corporate bonds are available only on Commercial and Scale. See funds.
  • Bulk exports. Queue a whole dataset or a large query as a private NDJSON file instead of paging through it. See create an export.
  • Higher limits. Twice Pro's request rate on Commercial and ten times on Scale, 50 concurrent requests, and more API keys for separate services and environments.

Delivery for production systems

Commercial products usually need more than request-by-request access. Both plans can read the REST API in JSON or CSV, stream delayed quotes over WebSocket, and download nightly flat files: one gzipped CSV per dataset per trading date, with the same raw values the REST API returns.

Scale also pushes those flat files to your own S3 or S3-compatible bucket, such as Cloudflare R2, MinIO or Wasabi. You add the bucket in the dashboard, send a test file to verify it, and new and changed files arrive under {prefix}/us/{dataset}/{YYYY}/{YYYY-MM-DD}.csv.gz.

What these plans are not

  • Not real-time. Exchange quotes are delayed 15 minutes, crypto and currency pairs are snapshotted every few minutes, intraday bars are delayed, and OHLC offers no real-time or consolidated SIP data on any plan.
  • Not worldwide. Beyond U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs, U.S. and Canadian mutual funds, U.S. corporate bonds, U.S. dollar crypto pairs, currency pairs and index levels, exchange coverage is seven exchanges: Toronto, TSX Venture, Cboe Canada, London, Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, and the ASX. Their quotes refresh hourly, where U.S. quotes are snapshotted every 10 minutes.
  • Not a trial. There are no free trials. The Free plan is how you test OHLC, on AAPL, NVDA, JNJ, PEP, MSFT, SPY and QQQ with no card.

Getting started

  1. Create a free account and build against the seven free tickers with the quickstart.
  2. Check that the datasets you need are available for your symbols with /v1/datasets and dataset coverage.
  3. Choose Commercial or Scale on the pricing page. The plan applies to your whole account, across all of its API keys.
  4. Upgrade from Commercial to Scale at any time if your traffic grows. Monthly cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.

Questions, answered.

Which plan do I need to show stock prices in my app?

Commercial or Scale. They are the only OHLC plans with commercial display and redistribution rights. Pro covers internal business use only, and Free and Developer are personal use.

What is the difference between Commercial and Scale?

The rights and datasets are the same. Scale doubles the daily credits to 1,000,000, raises the rate limit from 2,000 to 10,000 requests a minute, removes the limits on API keys and WebSocket symbols, adds S3 push delivery of flat files, and adds a dedicated support channel on request.

Do I need to talk to sales?

No. There is no sales team. Commercial and Scale are bought online at their published prices, and changed or cancelled in the billing portal.

What happens if my product exceeds the plan's limits?

Requests return 429 until the limit resets: the per-minute rate each minute and the daily credits at 00:00 UTC. There are no overage charges. Cache responses where you can, and move to Scale if you need more headroom.

Is the data real-time?

No. Quotes are delayed 15 minutes on every plan, including Commercial and Scale, and daily bars are end-of-day values. We recommend labeling prices as delayed wherever your product shows them.

Can I pay annually?

Yes. Annual billing charges ten monthly payments for twelve months: $8,990 a year for Commercial and $14,990 a year for Scale.

A little JSON.
A lot of possibility.
